ABOUT US

While we are always looking forward with optimism, we know we would not be here today without the hard work and dedication of the many family members who worked this ground before us.  We are grateful  for the opportunities they have given us.  The Stock farm began when Frederick Stock came to America in 1882 and settled in Cass County, Nebraska.  Frederick worked as a farm hand for other local farmers until 1888 when he was able to save up enough money to purchase his first 120 acres of land, which is still owned by members of the Stock family.  That same year he married Johanna Dettman and they had seven sons, all of them spent their entire lives in and raised their families in the Murdock community.

The Beginning

The farm is currently owned and operated by me, Andrew, and my wife, Cassondra Stock.  We have two children, Elliott and Hailey, who are the 6th generation to grow up on our family farm. Cassy is a full time mother, spending most of her time keeping our family organized.  She also helps several days a week working in the office doing books.  We were selected as one of the top-ten young farmers in America by the Outstanding Farmers of America Fraternity in 2015.  We were selected for this due to our involvement in the promotion of agriculture, our farm management, conservation practices and demonstration of leadership.  I was a member of the Nebraska LEAD class 24.  I also served as the president and vice president of the Nebraska Alfalfa Association for several years.

Present Day

We feel it is important to preserve the family farm and give our children the same great opportunities we were given growing up on the farm.  It is our goal to continue to grow our operation while being profitable and providing the best life possible for our family.  If you own ground and would like to partner with us, we would love to hear from you!
